Color Coordination and Effects

When you go to professional firework displays about 80% of the time there are more than one shell up in the air at a time. When they break they seem to complement one another. Was this accidental planning? I don't think so. It seems to me that there are a few colors and effects that just go good together, that add each to each other when they are lit together.

You can group colors together to try to convey a mood if you are shooting your show with music in the background. Use blue, purple, gold for a slow area, and use red, orange, green, when it comes to an energetic part. Color coordination is also good if you want to represent something, with last years finale I wanted to do a tribute to America, I used all items that were red, white, blue.  There are a lot of colors that when shot together look nice like; green & purple, purple & gold, and so on try to mix different colors and see what you like the best. The picture to the right shows how nicely the purple and green go together.

With grouping audio effects you want to try to stay with one at a time, like just whistles or crackle. If you have to many different audio effects going on at the same time you won't be able to clearly hear each one.

When you try to group visual effects together try to stay with like effects, all willows,  peonies, etc. If you shoot to many items close together that each contain a different effect you won't be able to enjoy each on. The only way this can be done with mixing effects is if you space each item out far enough from each other that when the shell breaks there is still a little space between effects. Similar type effects like Kamuro and Willows, can be shot together. The picture to the left is of four gold and silver Niagra falls shells
