Consumer Electrical Firing
Equipment
To have an electrically fired
professional looking firework display you are going to need some
equipment. I have found this electrical firing systems (EFS), for a reasonable price.
This is the first remote electrical system I have seen made for the
consumer market in mind, and for only $40 for the system you should
definitely pick one up today. I have two of these systems all ready with
a third on the way.
| Phantom F-5 remote electrical firing
hits the nail right on the head with a economical way for
consumers to have an electrically fired display. Each system
comes with a receiver and a transmitter. The transmitter
also is dual purpose for both the trigger to ignite the e-fuses
and as a flashlight. This system allows you to electronically
ignite items up to 120 feet away. What is nice about this
system are the
two different modes of firing, sequence and multi-fire
capabilities. |

The igniters refills are also economical at $10.00 for
enough to fire 25 items in 5 cords. Each individual igniter are visibly
labeled one through five to let you know what order they will fire, which is great
when planning and setting up your show. The numbers are only
raise, so if order is important in your show make sure to setup
you show while it is still light out. |
| The mortar rack to the right is one
of our newer designs that is available at
Consumer
Mortar Racks. The rack is setup with four of the five
igniters attached to World Class's Excalibur shells. The setup
is simple all you do is press the igniter to open the clamp,
insert fuse, and release. |

| Overall I think this system is
pretty good, there is definitely room for further upgrades to
the system. Maybe things like the ability to have two slots to
attach the F5 igniter fuse to a single receiver doubling the
number of fireworks you can light on one unit. The only thing
that I think could be done better is the transmitter, the fire
button is dual purpose. First as a flashlight when the green
light is off and second as the firing button when the green
light is one. What happens if you go to use the flashlight and
forget to switch it off of igniter mode? |
