Piggybacking
Reloadable Mortar Shells
Note: When using this Professional
Technique please use extreme caution. This is a proven technique. By using
this technique you acknowledge that Fireworkinfo.com is not responsible
for any accidents while using this technique. If you are confused about
any part please
email us to clarify what to do.
Rules for using this technique: You must follow
these directions word for word. Do not substitute any other mortar pipes
than what are used below.
1. Use only at least a 15" HDPE mortar.
2. Do NOT load more than 2 shells in at a time.
3. Make sure that the mortar is very secure.
Directions:
1. Cutting the fuse on the bottom shell.
The first step in using this technique is to cut the fuse right at the
top of the shell at an angle. This will expose the powder core. This will
be the shell that you load first into the mortar and be the bottom shell.
|
|
2. Tape the fuse to the side of the shell.
Take a piece of scotch tape and tape the fuse to the side to the
shell. This will make sure that the angled cut will stay right where
you want it. Do not place the tape over the angle cut.
|
|
3. Load the Bottom shell.
Properly load the bottom shell into the pipe.
|
|
4. Loading the top shell.
Now that the bottom shell is loaded, drop the top shell in the same
mortar on top of it.
|
|
5. Light the fuse.
Now light the only fuse sticking out of the top of the mortar. When
the fuse lights the top shell the fire will light the second shell
underneath it and send that up too. There is a few second delay to this.
|
|
Please Note: Even though this technique is reliable, should the
shell not
light the second shell wait at least 5 min. before approaching the mortar.
Please remember that you should not look directly into the mortar. Use extreme
caution while using this technique.
