Shell Box 1
Note: This box
can also be build using your standard 3/4" plywood. With
this box I was trying to recreate and old fashioned ammo crate.
This was the main reason for not using plywood.
Materials
2 - Door Hinges
1 - 2x3 96" length
4 - 1x8 72" length

When you are storing
shells on the field around the firing site, you should make sure that
they are kept covered to prevent accidental ignition. This box was
designed for 3" - 5" shells for my professional displays, that I do. It also
works very well to carry all of your shells and other things you need to
the firing area in one compact container.
1. Cut the wood

2. Build the frame

3.Attach the base and sides
|
|
4. Attach reinforcement boards
|
|
5. Building the Lid
|
|
6. Attach Door Hinges
|
|
7. Door Handle (Optional)
If you want buy a cabinet door handle or some other type of
hand and attach it to the trunk of your box.

8. Polyurethane the crate (Optional)
If you want your fireworks crate to last for a while I would
recommend that you polyurethane it or paint it flat black to
protect the wood. |
