2005 Display

Well with Memorial Day come and gone, now starts the time when I start planning my 4th of July display. This year we are going to reduce the number of rockets, and roman candles, and focus our attention on large cakes, multiple flights of shells & mines, and a finale that will beat out our last year's finale. We have 4 new mortar and mine rack designs that we just cannot wait to use in front of an audience. 3 new remote electrical firing unit built by Phantom Fireworks, this should make this year be the best yet.

So far we are very impressed with Phantom's F-5 Remote Igniter and E-Fuse system. We have purchased 3 of these systems to fire this years finale and a few of our racks, including our fountain/cake rack. We have a stock of 13 boxes of E-Fuses enough to ignite up to 325 individual items. Probably this year are going to shoot for half of our show to be electrically fired, between the 3 systems.

Here are two of our newly designed 3 and 5 shot fan racks that we're using to try to spread out the color. The 5 shot fan rack is going to be loaded with mines, and electrically fired using Phantom Fireworks' F5 remote firing system. This will make a peacock tail effect with the mines.

Here is our new 20 shot finale box. This is going to replace the 18 shot finale rack at the end of our show for a different effect this year. We decided that we wanted to try something new to keep interest in our show for those that go every year. This rack design is more compact than our other designs for easier finale fusing. By combining two of these racks together you can fire up to 40 shells.

We have finished picking out our items for our show and have our stockpile of fireworks displayed in the picture to the upper right of this text box. In all we have around 200 mortar shells and mines, a number of large cakes and a few rockets and fountains.
The items that we picked up at Phantom Fireworks are not displayed in the picture above. We picked up 2 Red, White, Blue, Shell Kit, and a Grucci New York Harbor Show kit.
The rack to the left is one that we completed on 6/18/05 this one is following our new angle rack design to increase rigidness and alignment of the mortar pipes. We also have a 4 shot rack that also got designed. As soon as we go through testing of the 4 shot rack it will be available at Consumer Mortar Racks.

Check back often and watch our show go from design to the final product.
