1 - 3/4" copper pipe holders for each candle you want to have on your
rack..
2 - 1" or smaller screws for every copper pipe holder
Theory: This is another variation of my first roman candle rack
Directions:
There is a lot of variations in these directions because it depends on how
many candles you want too display at a time in your show. For these
instruction I am going to build a rack with 7 candle spots on it.
1. Picking out the Wood and Cutting the Base
You are going to want to use a 2x4 piece of would that is long enough to
have 6" between each candle and 4" from the end.
The board for my base is 38" long
2. Cutting the Base Stabilizers
You are going to need a 8" Stabilizers at both ends and in the middle
if the rack is over 2ft.
3. Attaching Base Stabilizers
The stabilzers with be attached to one of the narrow sides of the rack
4. Marking Where to Place Copper Pipe Holders
Start from one end of the rack and mark 4" from the end and then 6" after
that until there is only 4" left on the other side. This will be where you
place the holders for the roman candles.
5. Attaching the Copper Pipe Holders
Place the Copper pipe holders where you want the candles to be held. Do
not tighten all the way in just yet.
6. Painting the Rack (Optional)
To hide the rack from people during your display, you should paint the
rack flat black.
7. Attaching the Roman Candles
To attach the roman candles to the rack, first place the candle
between the copper pipe holder and the wood tighten with a drill until the
candle is snug. Repeat this for every candle you wish to attach to your
rack at this time. The last step is to fuse each candle together to get a chain
reaction to learn how to connect things together go to our
Fuse Section.
