3/4 Plywood cut into the sizes listed below:
2 - 15 3/4" x 3"
3 - 1 1/2" x 5 1/2"
2 - 3 1/4" x 5 1/2"

1 - 15 3/4" x 5 1/2"
2 - 4 1/4" Long 1x3
8 - 1 1/2" Screws
14 - 2" Screws

Theory: This is a little bit more difficult to make when compared to my other roman candle racks. However the angles that you can create will be more even than with my other racks. This rack is very stable on the ground.

Directions:

1. Cutting the pieces
The first step to building this rack is to mark and cut out the pieces needed to create this rack out a 3/4 plywood.

2. Cutting the Angled End Piece
Take the 2 - 3 1/4" x 5 1/2" pieces. With these we are going to cut your angled end holders. Mark 6/8" on the bottom and 1 6/8" on the top of the piece of wood. Connect these two points with a line.

3. Lining up the guides with one side
I found that the easiest way to perfectly fit the rack to the size of candles that you want to use is by actually fitting the candle where you want them. It is a good idea to leave the roman candles in place so that when you are pre-drilling the holes for the screws the guide pieces don't move on you.

4. Drilling the holes for the screws
The diagram on the left shows where you want to drill the holes on each side of the rack, and the center guide pieces.

5. Attaching the front screws to the middle guide pieces and back
With this side we are going to attach the middle guide pieces to. It helps to keep the roman candles in the spots where they will be after the rack is completed.

5. Attaching the back screws to the middle guide pieces and front
Once the holes are drilled for the screws, start with the side that you will attach the angled pieces to. When attaching the sides use the 2" screws.

6. Attaching the Base and End pieces
Mark 2" from one of the long sides of the base pieces. This is where the front of your rack will be located. To attach the end pieces you are going to drill the holes where they are shown to the left. Use the 1 1/2" screws to attach the end pieces.

7. Painting the Rack (Optional)
To hide the rack from people during your display, you should paint the rack flat black. This isn't that important

8. Attaching the Roman Candles
The nice thing about this roman candle rack is that it is easy to load with roman candles. All you do is insert a 1/2" or 3/4" roman candle into the spaces until it is snug. Now you are ready to fuse them together. The last step is to fuse each candle together to get a chain reaction to learn how to connect things together go to our Fuse Section.
