Safety Tips For A Safe Time

  1. Make sure that you brace every items. This will prevent the items from tipping over.
  2. Have the audience at least 50 ft. away from the firing area. This will make sure that they are not in the fallout area,
  3. Have a fire extinguisher, bucket of water, or hose ready just in case a firework lights something on fire.
  4. Always wait a few minutes before approaching an item that you lit but did not go off.
  5. Have an adult present.
  6. Never experiment or make your own fireworks.
  7. Use outdoors only.
  8. Buy from reliable sellers.
  9. If necessary, store fireworks in a cool, dry place.
  10. Always read and follow label directions.
  11. Never give fireworks to small children.
  12. Dispose of fireworks properly by soaking them in water and disposing of them in your trashcan.
  13. Never throw or point fireworks at other people.
  14. The shooter should always wear eye protection and never have any part of the body over the firework.
  15. Never carry fireworks in your pocket.
  16. Never shoot fireworks from metal or glass containers.
  17. Stay away from illegal explosives. You can tell that they are illegal if they don't have a warning label on them.
  18. Never re-light a “dud” firework (wait 15 – 20 minutes and then soak it in a bucket of water).
