Designing Your Show Is Part Of The Fun While working with my local firework dealer, people would come into the store and ask us to put together a consumer firework show for a certain amount of money. In my opinion, fireworks is just like everything else, picking them out yourself is part of the fun. I have created 3 different shows based on different amounts that most people's budget fall into. Family Show $30.00-$150.00 If you only have a budget range that is between the $30.00 and $150.00 you can get great items to put on a family show. To get the most for your money I recommend that you pick out an assortment pack. These assortments contain a little bit of everything to create a nice small well rounded show. The items in the assortments if you were to price them out separately you will save at least 15% in the assortment. Make sure to look at what is contained in the assortment, some assortments contain large aerial pieces and some contain just fountains. Small Party $150.00 - $300.00 With this size of purchase I still recommend getting an assortment. Use the assortment as the foundation to build your show upon. After you pick out your kit, pick out pieces that will suit your tastes and area where you are going to set off the fireworks. If the area is large pick up large cakes, maybe a reloadable mortar kit, and a few other things to round out your show. If the area where you are going to set the fireworks off is small, pick up some more fountains, novelty items, wheels, and cakes that only go 10-30ft up. Large Party $300.00-$700.00 For this amount that you want to spend you can start getting a really nice show. First you must decide what type of show you want to have, all fountains or all aerial, even maybe a mix between the two. To create the best show you should pick out multiple different type of items to make sure you show is well rounded. When I purchase my show I start with the most expensive items that I want, mortar kits assortments, large finale cakes. I then start to work my way down, you need the big stuff for the end and the smaller things for the beginning of your show. Remember you want to have a variety of different items to keep your show interesting. My show is normally around this size for the 4th. I normally get around 80-144 mortar shells, 10 - 25 cakes, 6 packs of roman candles, 15 large rockets, brick of firecrackers, a box of sparklers, a few fountains and novelty items, and one or two wheels. |
